All those super-injunction tweets have gone to twitter’s head
Twitter is rolling out its new feature, Twitter Lists, which it hopes will help to organise information on the site. Twitter has not evolved that much compared to Facebook, which has had many overhauls. Most development has been done by third-parties, who have created a vast toolkit of applications and sites to help twitterers.
On the twitter blog the company say that "lists have the potential to be an important new discovery mechanism for great tweets and accounts." Users will be able to make different lists for groups of people that they follow, and these will be able to be shared.
Today I was told that I was now able to use the list feature. However bizarrely the site told me not to tweet about it. Strange instructions from a site that is all about sharing information.

Hmm, I don’t know how I feel about this new feature. Compared to Facebook, the beauty of Twitter is how simple it is to use. Quite often those behind Facebook think they know what will make our lives easier – and subsequently confuse us. Let’s hope Twitter doesn’t go too far down this route.
